You’re invited to the Curl BC AGM

At Curl BC, one of the most important things we do is to hold our Annual General Meeting. It allows us review the past twelve months and set a course for the coming year.

Scheduled for Thursday, June 16th at 7:00pm, the 2022 AGM is an inclusive event open to everyone holding membership at a Curl BC-affiliated curling club. While only club presidents—or their designated representatives—have voting power, we encourage all curlers to attend.

Elections are also an important part of the AGM. This year, we have two talented candidates for the Curl BC board, Brenda Sims of Brackendale and Michael Dudar of Duncan. They’re running to take the chairs of our two retiring governors, Dale Gregory and Terry Hawes, and we thank Dale and Terry for their service to curling in BC.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we will be holding the AGM on Zoom. To take part, please register at:

If you’re a club president or other duly-designated voting delegate, please also register at this link:

Voting rules for AGM
1. Only voting delegates can vote (one person from each club).
2. The chair of the meeting will call for a vote. If you do not object, your vote will be counted as in favour.
3. If you’d like to vote against a motion or abstain from voting, you will be asked to write it in the chat or unmute yourself if you’re on the phone.
4. The chair will let members know if a motion has passed or not.

Please be sure to sign in on-time—before we start the meeting, we’ll be celebrating this year’s award winners with a special video.

The Curl BC 2022 AGM promises to be an informative and productive event, and it’s a vital step in the process of securing a successful future for the sport of curling in BC.
