The Esquimalt Curling Club will play host to some exciting on-ice action starting Friday, as the World Curling Tour’s Victoria Mixed Doubles Cashpiel rolls into town from September 23^rd to 25^th.

An 11-team cashspiel organized by Victoria’s own Connar Croteau, the event will be run in a triple-knockout format with one A, one B, and  two C qualifiers advancing to the semi-finals. The event will have a substantial purse, and has attracted teams from across BC, as well as Taiwan and Mexico.

The event promises to be a who’s who of high-performance BC curlers, featuring multiple former provincial mixed doubles champions including Jaelyn Cotter, Jim Cotter, Sarah Wark, and Corey Chester.

Curling fans are invited to come watch the cashspiel in person, with free spectator admission throughout the weekend. Draw times are scheduled for 5pm-10 pm Friday ,9am -11pm Saturday, and 7:30am-12:30pm Sunday for those wanting to come out and watch.
