Tour dates announced
Many BC curling tour event dates have now been confirmed and are posted on the BC Curling Tours website.
The dates are being posted to assist teams with planning.
The mission of the BC Junior Curling Tour and the Men’s and Women’s Curling Tours is to qualify teams directly to BC championships, increase the number of teams competing in BC, and create province-wide training and development opportunities for BC teams.
The tour dates confirmed on bccurlingtours.com/ include a new event for 2020-21, the Trail BC Classic (Men’s and Women’s) – Sept. 25-27, 2020.
There are also five BC Junior Curling Tour events planned. Four berths to provincials are up for grabs for the top teams on this tour.
These tours have been developed to help teams accomplish their goals to ultimately become provincial, national, and world champions by giving them a chance to gauge where they are among their competition and identify what they need to do to improve.
These events will run subject to official health advice from the provincial authorities.
The events on the tours are Canadian Team Ranking System (CTRS) point eligible, with the goal of attracting top BC and CTRS teams to compete.
Curl BC is actively looking for a Men’s and Women’s Tour event on Vancouver Island. If your club is interested in hosting one please contact Dan Wenzek at firstname.lastname@example.org.
