Team Pierce and Team Brown have clinched the first berths to the 2024 BC Men’s and Women’s Championships after strong performances at the Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic at the Vernon Curling Club last week.

Team Pierce overpowered fellow BC contenders, Team Schneider, with a commanding 8-1 victory in the Men’s Final. Team Brown navigated through a competitive field to secure a spot in the Women’s Final against Team Wang from China. Although they took second place in the Classic, their performance earned them a berth in the BC Women’s Championships.

The Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic marked the commencement of the 2023 BC Curling Tour, setting the stage for a season of thrilling competitions. Curling enthusiasts can anticipate the next event in the Tour, the King Cash, scheduled to take place from October 20 to 22 at the Golden Ears Winter Club.
