Over the past week, the best in provincial mixed curling played out over four days and twelve draws at the 2022 AMJ Campbell BC Mixed Championship in Kimberley. The event, which ran from March 10^th to 13^th, saw 13 four-person co-ed teams take to the ice in search of the championship crown.

After an intense three days of play, Sunday morning saw the dust settle as the event moved into the playoff stage. The Team Tolley – Team Buchy matchup was a low-scoring chess match which resulted in a 3-1 Tolley victory. On the next sheet over, Team Craig triumphed 5-4 over Team McKenzie in a nail-biter which was all tied-up going into the eighth.

In the afternoon, Teams Craig and Buchy met on the ice for another close one, which Team Craig took 6-5, giving the bronze medal to Team Buchy.

Then came the final, on Sunday night, with Teams Craig and Tolley facing off. It was an evenly-matched and tense game, with the lead flip-flopping multiple times and taking things into an extra end. In the ninth, however, Team Craig was able to pull ahead by one point, taking the 2022 crown 5-4.
