Does your club need trained ice staff or volunteers for the upcoming season or are you an ice maker looking to upgrade your certification? Curl BC has scheduled a Jet Ice Technician workshop.

Level 1 and 2 Jet Ice Technician Workshops are planned for Langley on September 6, 7 (& 8 for Level 2) with Mike Merklinger and Norm Scott.

A level 1 course lasts two days and provides development on all areas of curling ice maintenance including: using a scraper, using a burner, sweeping techniques, pebbling techniques, and Ice maker insights.

A Level 2 Course provides development for practical ice installation techniques, technical training, and refrigeration concepts. See website for level 2 Pre-requisites.

In addition to Ice Tech workshops Curl BC is pleased to offer additional mentorship to member clubs and centres beyond traditional Ice Tech courses. After your Ice Techs are trained consider having one of the world class ice techs from our team visit your centre to support your club.
