Register for policing curling championship

October 24, 2019

It’s time to get your team together to compete for this year’s provincial and national police curling titles.

The 2020 Police Provincial Curling Championship is being held at the Abbotsford Curling Club on January 10-12, 2020.  This tournament raises much-needed funds and awareness for the Tourette Syndrome Foundation of Canada.  There will be both competitive and recreational divisions, lots of prizes, and heaps of fun. Both active and retired peace officers are eligible to compete.

Not a peace officer and want to participate? The recreational division will soon open up to include mixed composition teams of both officer and non-officer curlers.

BC’s own Team Hockley, from the Chilliwack Curling Club, won the 2019 World Financial Group Canadian Police Curling Championship.  This win secured their berth to the 2020 Nationals being held in Toronto, leaving this year’s BC provincial title up for grabs.  The first “National Police Bonspiel” was held in 1956 with the purpose of encouraging fellowship and liaison among Canadian police officers as well as promoting the game of curling in Canada.
