March 50/50 Draw Result – Largest Jackpot in History!

March 17, 2024

Curl BC’s final 50/50 raffle of the season, which ran from February 16 to March 15, was the biggest jackpot in Curl BC 50/50 raffle history.

In all, 77 Curl BC member facilities (of our 88 clubs) benefitted from ticket sales totaling a whopping $49,340!

The winner of this massive draw, with her share of the pot topping out at $24,670 was long-time curler Tammy Shields of Hope.

Tammy has been involved with Hope Curling Club for over 30 years and says curling runs in her family.

“My grandfather was the first ice-maker at the Hope Curling Club,” said Shields. My parents were also involved with the club, so I’ve spent a lot of time growing up there.” Tammy says she is going to invest some of the winnings back into the community.
