Nov 23, 2015 – Webinar with Curling Canada’s Women’s National Coach Elaine Dagg-Jackson and Curl BC’s Provincial Coach Melissa Soligo 7pm-8pm – “Playdowns Are Coming – Is Your Game In Order?

December 19-20, 2015 – Provincial Podium Camp at Kelowna Curling Club.
This camp is open to curlers 17 and under and you do not have to be in the High Performance Program. The Podium Project is a National and Provincial Long Term Athlete Development Initiative targeted at youth aged athletes. The purpose of the camps are to assist athletes at this stage in specific high performance development. The camp is open to teams and individuals aged 17 and under and will run from approximately 9am – 6pm on Saturday and 9am–12pm on Sunday.
The cost, which includes lunch and snacks on Saturday, is:
$100.00/team for all regular teams
$60.00/team for registered HP program teams
$25.00/ per individual
The sessions will include mental preparation, strategy, shot making/ tactics, on ice technical analysis and competition. Teams are responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs. This will be a great opportunity for teams preparing for the Juvenile playdowns beginning in early January.

Sept. 12-13, 2015 – Juvenile / Junior High Performance Camp, Richmond Curling Club. Saturday 10am-5pm and Sunday 9am-3pm.

Mar. 28 – 29, 2015 – Podium Training Camp, Abbotsford Curling Club. Saturday 10am – 7pm and Sunday 9am – 3pm. $100 per team.

Jan. 11, 2015 – Championship preparation with CCA IST Lead and Mental Performance Consultant, Kyle Paquette. Fortius Sport and Health, 3713 Kensingtom Ave, Burnaby, 9:am – 11:00am. Free for High Performance Program athletes and $15 to others. Register by January 7.

Jan. 8, 2015 – Webinar with Karen Watson – 7pm – High performance travel tips

Dec. 20, 2014 – Preparing to perform your best at a BC Provincial event – Kelowna Curling Club 9am – 2pm

Dec. 15, 2014 – Coaching panel webinar with Provincial Coach Melissa Soligo and Curl BC Consultant Coaches, Darryl Horne, Ken Macdonald and Kate Witt from 7-9pm. Register for the webinar by clicking here.

Most sport centres also offer the Ignite Athlete Development Program which aims to teach athletes movement skills that can improve performance in their specific sports. It is a cross-training program meant to enhance sport specific training.
