Curling Loses a Longtime Volunteer
March 25, 2024
The curling family lost a very important member. Jim Schuman, sadly passed away after a battle with cancer.
Jim was a big part of curling in BC and Canada and his impact was felt in many ways.
Jim dedicated a significant amount of time to the sport, helping put together provincial, national and international level curling competitions. He co-founded the Pacific International Cup, which is the premier bonspiel for club curlers from around BC, the US and around the Pacific hosted every April in Richmond. Aside from curling, Jim was a well-known senior member of the Vancouver family law bar, where he has practiced for more than 50 years.
He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
