Curl BC welcomes all curling centres in BC to celebrate the 125th anniversary of curling with us in 2020.

Events planned for the 2020 celebrations include:

• Anniversary launch at 2020 Juniors (Dec. 28-Jan. 2), Victoria). (Photo booth with 125th anniversary props for teams, volunteers and visitors. Cake and balloons will be brought in for  Jan. 1. The photo booth will travel across BC to various events.)
• 125 top moments of curling in BC (social media campaign, January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020). (Submit your ideas to rconnopprice@curlbc.ca)
• Heritage curling game with media coverage. (Natural ice, historic costumes. Details to be confirmed).
• Curling Day in BC (Learn to Curl and Open Houses staged across BC on Nov. 7, 2020. Prize of $1,000 education fund for one of the curling centres in BC that takes part. More details to come).
• PLUS a special two-day Summit-style tribute to BC sport history, heritage and culture and the 125th Anniversary of Curling, September 17-18, 2020. (Read more in the CEO message of the September Curling Connection).

Some curling centres are also installing the 125th anniversary of curling logo in their ice. The first order was placed on September 27 with a further order planned for the new year. If you would like to order in-ice logos, or if you want to plan your own way to celebrate, please contact a member of the 125th anniversary task team.
