AMJ Campbell BC Mixed Curling Championships Recap
Hosted by the Langley Curling Centre, the 2024 AMJ Campbell BC Mixed Curling Championships concluded successfully from March 26-31.
In a 2 male, 2 female format, Team Tanaka was heads above the competition all week long. Finishing first in the round robin with a 5-1 record and a bye straight to the finals, they would end up facing Team Wenzek in the finals. Team Wenzek came from 2-0 down in the semi-final to outscore Team Pohlod 8-1 the rest of the way to advance to the final with an 8-3 semi-final win.
The finals is where Team Tanaka continued their hot run, scoring four in the second and four in the fourth ends, leaving Team Wenzek to concede after four ends with an 8-1 final score.
Team Tanaka will represent BC at the National Championship, November 3-9, 2024 at St. Catharines Golf & Curling Club in Ontario.
