The International Tankard is delighted to announce the eagerly awaited 2024 Volunteer Recognition Event, marking its 59th edition. Curling enthusiasts from both sides of the border are invited to gather at the Seattle Granite Club from March 15-17, 2024, for a weekend filled with camaraderie and friendly competitions.

• Theme: Rock Stars

Worthy volunteers from British Columbia and the United States are set to be nominated by their curling clubs for this special event. The chosen volunteers will be recognized and invited to participate in a weekend filled with fun. 24 spots are available for clubs from B.C.

Mike DeSante, the newly appointed Chair of the International Tankard, expresses his excitement about the upcoming event. “The International Tankard has a long tradition of celebrating both the sport of curling and the dedication of volunteers across the border. I am honored to be the new Chair and am eagerly looking forward to seeing all the curling enthusiasts come together for this fantastic event.”

• The nomination deadline is February 28, to be remitted to Mike Desante.
• Cost: $125 per curler in B.C. (paid by nominating club), which includes admission to a banquet on March 16.
