Our House is Your House

Help us celebrate National Coaches Week

The fourth annual National Coaches Week is coming up from September 22 to 30, 2018, and there are several ways in which you can get involved in recognizing and thanking the coaches in your community.

National Coaches Week is a week to celebrate the positive impact coaches have on athletes and communities across Canada. This week is an opportunity to recognize coaches for the integral role they play by saying #ThanksCoach.

Sport is the biggest volunteer segment in Canada and coaches are a crucial part of building a healthy, active community.

With events held across the country to celebrate coaching, National Coaches Week provides coaches with the recognition they deserve for the time they devote to ensuring Canadians live an active, healthy lifestyle.

Curl BC would like to recognize the curling coaches in your community. Send your name, the name of the coach you want to recognize, and your answer to ‘I want to say #ThanksCoach because …’ to Liz at lmontroy@curlbc.ca by noon on Thursday September 20 for your message to be shared on our social media accounts during National Coaches Week!

Another quick and easy way to show your appreciation to your coach is to send an e-Card! To do so, go to http://thanks.coach.ca/ and click on the e-Card. You can customize the e-Card by filling out a message to your favourite coach and sending it directly to their inbox.

You can stay up to date with everything happening leading up to National Coaches Week by visiting http://www.coach.ca/nationalcoachesweek and by following along on Facebook and Twitter using #CoachesWeek and #ThanksCoach.
