Four BC teams medal at Canada 55+ Games

Five BC teams competed in curling in the 2018 Canada 55+ Games in Saint John, New Brunswick last week, with four of the teams making it onto the podium.

The following three teams won gold medals in their divisions:

Team Jenkins, Salmon Arm (Women’s 55+):

Team Lim, Prince George (Men’s 65+):
Bill Lim
Owen Mathison
Bill Davidson
Rick Mintz

Team Brennan, Summerland/Penticton (Mixed 55+):
Glen Brennan
Tony Blashko
Lil Blashko
Tamra Brennan

Wayne Merwin’s Blind Bay team of Janny Merwin, Jane Stephenson and Larry Stephenson won the Mixed 65+ silver. Myron Nichol’s Castlegar/Trail team of Bill Vanyzerloo, Joe Kambick and Richard Faunt competed in the Men’s 55+ competition.
