In the course, participants will:

  • Learn the types of shots
  • Learn the scoring system
  • Learn how to make the game more interesting and fun for both fans and players
  • Learn how to supply information to the media for broadcasting
  • Give feedback to players and coaches to analyze the ice and opposition
  • Participants will also learn statistic principles. These are straight-forward and easy to learn!

In evaluation, statisticians give the benefit of doubt to the curler. Shots are evaluated according to the shot called. (eg: bad calls, impossible shot, improper broom placement, do not factor into the evaluation of shot).
