Cloverdale and Golden Curling Clubs Secure Funding for Facility Upgrades
June 10, 2025

Exciting news for two BC curling communities!
Cloverdale Curling Club has been approved for a capital gaming grant to purchase a complete new set of curling rocks. The new rocks—sourced from Scotland—are expected to arrive in mid-August, just in time for the upcoming season.
In Golden, the Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) has approved emergency funding for a new ice chiller to replace the current aging unit. The $151,000 project will be supported by the Electoral Area A Community Works Fund ($100,000) and the Golden Curling Rink capital reserve ($51,000). The replacement is expected to be completed before the Fall 2025 season, ensuring the rink remains in operation for local curlers.
