2010 Williams Moving & Storage BC Mixed Curling Championship presented by Merit Travel starts next Tuesday

Richmond, BC (March 11, 2010) – Eight of BC’s best mixed curling teams will battle it out next week for a provincial crown at the Chilliwack Curling Club. Regional playdowns took place last month to declare the top teams which will fight for the right to represent our province at the 2011 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship next season.

The event will host a local favorite as Bruce Renwick (Manager of the Chilliwack Curling Club) and his team qualified last month out of the Coastal Mixed Championship. Also representing the coast will be Todd Jones, Craig Lepine and Doug Meger from Royal City. Lepine is a former BC Mixed champion and Meger lost a heart-breaking provincial final in 2008.

The interior will be represented by another former champion, Tom Buchy from Kimberley along with Dave Belway from Salmon Arm, Darren Heath from Vernon and Bart Sawyer from Williams Lake.

Action will get underway Tuesday, March 16th at 12:30pm.
